Brighton sweat on duo ahead of Prenton trip

BRIGHTON will be waiting on late fitness tests to defender Joel Lynch and midfielder Dean Hammond ahead of tomorrow's visit to Tranmere Rovers.

The Seagulls may once again fall back on teenager Tony Elphick if Lynch fails to overcome a knee injury that kept him out of last Saturday's 2-1 win over Northampton.

The Influential Hammond suffered a gashed knee during the Northampton game. Brighton rely heavily on Hammond's driving inspiration from midfield and won only one out of nine games he missed last season.
