TRANMERE’S Danny Coyne has been named in the Wales squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Germany in Cardiff a week on Saturday and in Slovakia on Wednesday September 12.

The call-up means goalkeeper Coyne will be unavailable for Tranmere’s League One encounter with Carlisle at Brunton Park on Saturday, September 8.

Goalkeeping coach John Achterberg is likely to pull on the first team gloves for the Carlisle game but Rovers don’t have experienced cover to back up the Dutchman from the bench.
