TRANMERE Rovers fans have the chance to air their views tonight about the best way forward for the club.
The Tranmere and Wirral Football Supporters Trust hold the first of three forums on the club’s future at the Crown and Cushion public house in Market Street, Birkenhead, at 8pm.
The informal meeting will be used by the Trust to gather ideas and suggestions for a business and football plan they propose to pass on to the Tranmere board of directors.
Trust chairman Ben Harrison says all supporters with an interest in Rovers’ future are welcome to attend and there is no entry fee. Membership of the trust is to be made free to Rovers season-ticket holders.
Tranmere’s under-19s shared six goals in an entertaining draw with Walsall in the Football League Youth Alliance.
Rovers trailed 1-0 at half-time of the Northwest Conference fixture at Raby Vale and equalised soon after the break through Dave Wilson.
An own goal put the home side 2-1 ahead and they led again at 3-2 after Terry Gornell converted a penalty. But the visitors levelled before the end.
Tranmere coach Shaun Garnett said: “It as a very good game of football and I was pleased with many aspects of our performance. But we have to reduce the number of goals we are conceding. That is five in two games – and it is too many.”
Rovers travel to Wigan on Saturday in an Alliance fixture.
