Zola set to miss next fortnight

CALVIN ZOLA will be missing from the Tranmere Rovers starting line-up against Luton tonight after aggravating a hamstring strain in the 1-0 win at Carlisle last weekend.

The tall striker underwent a scan this week which confirms he faces a two-week lay-off.

Manager Ronnie Moore reports target man Gareth Taylor will also be missing with a broken rib. Teenage front man Craig Curran will be hoping for a place in the starting line-up alongside leading marksman Chris Greenacre.

Luton Town manager Kevin Blackwell is anxious to see his side add a cutting-edge to their football this season.

Looking at a record of two wins and three defeats so far Blackwell said: “Luton are known for playing good football and people have seen the way I want to play. But for all the passing and approach play, we need to finish teams off. I’m only 65 to 70% towards where I want to be with this team.”
