Keogh aims to extend his stay with the Terriers

WHILE Kevin Cooper is starting a loan spell with Tranmere tonight, Richard Keogh could be completing his temporary spell with visitors Huddersfield Town.

The Bristol City defender’s second month with the Terriers comes to an end after the League One fixture at Prenton Park. Keogh hopes he will be allowed to remain with Huddersfield. If not he would gladly settle for signing off a nine-game run with a victory at Tranmere’s expense.

“If Town want me to stay I would love to,” the Irish under-21 international said. “If not I will go back to Bristol having got some great experience under my belt.

“I am a young guy and still learning the game and to have played nine matches here is a big boost. The manager (Andy Ritchie) has helped me so much and hopefully I can help us get three points at Tranmere to say thank you.”
