MANAGER Ronnie Moore is anticipating plenty for speed and strength from his opponents but is confident that Tranmere will be able to give as good as they get.
He said: “Forest are very adventurous, they play 4-3-3.
“If Nathan Tyson is fit then he brings pace and goals. Kris Commons is on fire at the moment, Junior Agogo has got the pace, Grant Holt is big and strong and there’s Ian Breckin at the back so we know what’s going to happen.
“I’d like to think that their manager is looking at us and thinking ‘we’re in for a game here today.’
“We can go there and pass it but we’re a big side and if they rough it up we’ll have a bit of that. We’ve got a bit of everything in our team.
“I’m looking forward to it, let’s hope we’re on fire at the Forest.
“There will be a hell of a gate there, the atmosphere will be magnificent and we know we’re capable of going there and winning but we’ll have to adapt ourselves a lot better than we did at Swindon.”
One player Tranmere seem unlikely to come up against is veteran Northern Ireland midfielder Neil Lennon.
The former Celtic captain’s future at Forest seems in the balance after Colin Calderwood granted the player a leave of absence until Monday to resolve some personal problems.
Reports in Nottingham revealed that Lennon was allowed to miss the 0-0 draw with Oldham on Tuesday so he could return to Glasgow, where his girlfriend and young son still live.
Agent Martin Reilly declared that he expects Lennon to return and play for Forest again but it is understood that Lennon’s mind is far from made up.
