MANAGER Ronnie Moore warns Tranmere would be ill-advised to try to match Doncaster at their own pure football game at the Keepmoat Stadium this afternoon.
Moore said: “Doncaster have quality all over the park and a beautiful surface to play on.
“If we go there and say: you play your football and we will play ours, that will be just what they want.
“They have too many neat and tidy players and players who can hurt you like Richie Wellens and James Hayter.
“So I think we have to try and bully them in a way, get close to them and knock them out of their stride.”
Tranmere will be without the suspended Shane Sherriff. Carl Tremarco, his obvious replacement at left back, is doubtful with a stomach strain.
Chris Shuker is also doubtful after aggravating a thigh injury this week while front man Craig Curran is absent through suspension.
Moore may have to fall back on some inexperienced reserve players to provide cover on the substitutes’ bench.
