Moore: Rovers fans due a home treat

MANAGER Ronnie Moore says it’s time for Tranmere to “give the home supporters a treat” when they play Yeovil Town at Prenton Park this afternoon.

“I don’t think we have done that too often this season,” Moore admits.

“Our football has not been flowing enough, attacking-minded enough and we have not been in the game long enough to get the crowd behind us.

“I hope we have turned a corner now and we can get back to making Prenton Park a fortress.”

Leading marksman Chris Greenacre is back in the selection frame today after missing two games with a thigh strain.

But midfielder Paul McLaren aggravated his medial ligament while training on an all-weather surface this week and faces a lunchtime fitness test. Winger Jennison Myrie-Williams is due to complete the second month of his loan from Bristol City, although Moore is hoping to extend the arrangement for a third month or until the end of the season.

The Yeovil attack should feature Andy Kirk, the striker with a proven goal-scoring record recruited from Northampton Town in the January transfer window.
