Former manager and defender meet in pre-season warm-up

TRANMERE continue their pre-season preparations with a behind-closed-doors at friendly against Wrexham today.

Rovers manager Ronnie Moore and Wrexham counterpart Brian Little – his predecessor at Prenton Park – have agreed on a format of splitting the game into three half-hour sessions. That should allow the two managers scope to tinker with line-ups and formations. Wrexham are embarking upon a first season in the Conference following relegation from League Two last May.

Little’s squad includes former Tranmere full-back Carl Tremarco, who signed a new two-year contract at the Racecourse this summer.

Tranmere play their second public warm-up game tomorrow night when they take on West Cheshire League club Heswall at Gayton Park, kick-off 7pm.
