Tranmere youngsters win through in FA Youth Cup first round tie with Farsley Celtic

A BLISTERING opening spell put Tranmere in command of their FA Youth Cup first-round tie against Farsley Celtic at they triumphed 3-0 at Prenton Park last night.
Two goals in the first 10 minutes gave the home side a grip on the game that they never relinquished.
Liam Benson notched the first strike from a tight angle in the fifth minute – and by that time Jack Mackreth and Tom Baker had already gone close.
Baker then added a second goal on 10 minutes.
There was no way back for the Yorkshire visitors and Max Power completed Tranmere’s youngsters’ success by firing a shot into the top corner three minutes from time.
