The club requested help from volunteers yesterday to place extra covers and heating equipment on the pitch to supplement the existing covers that have been in place since the game on Sunday.
“We’re doing everything possible to ensure the game goes ahead,” said chairman Mike Rance. “The forecasters reckon this cold spell will remain with us beyond the weekend, so we’ve decided to give the pitch some extra protection.”
