Leah Moore and John Reppion: Comic genius

Husband and wife comic book writing team Leah Moore and John Reppion

Alongside the Doctor Who comic, they have just submitted the story for a major adaptation, with several other projects in the pipeline.

John said: "Writing for comics can be a lonely profession because you work at the end of the phone or over e-mail and don’t get much feedback.

"People keep on asking us to work with them though, which is validation we must be doing something right.

"Comics will always be the core of what we do, but we’d love to branch out into other areas, just to try new things like radio or television."

Leah adds: "John and I love working together and love what we do. Basically we imagine the best stories we can and then somebody does amazing drawings of our stories."

"And then they send us a cheque too," laughs John. "It’s not a bad job really."
