ACC LIVERPOOL, home to the Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre has announced a trio of teaching conferences – bringing more than 3,000 delegates to the city.The waterfront venue will host three events within days of each other, in March and April next year.The Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL), the union for education professionals, will return to ACC Liverpool for the third time from March24-27, 2013, bringing 600 delegates. It held successful conferences at the venue in April 2009 and April 2011.David Kimber, head of conferences at ATL, said: “We have already held two successful events at ACC Liverpool so have complete confidence that 2013 will be just as enjoyable. “We were made to feel extremely welcome, not just by the venue but by the city as a whole, and we look forward to returning.”Just two days later, the National Union of Teachers (NUT), will head to the award-winning venue along with 1250 delegates for its annual conference which takes place from March 29 until April 2.NUT, the largest teachers’ union in the UK, will return to the city for the second time after it first visited ACC Liverpool in April 2010. And from April 8-12, 1,200 delegates from the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL), will head to ACC Liverpool for their 47th annual international conference and exhibition.Kerrin MacPhie, director of sales at ACC Liverpool, added: “The fact that we are able to comfortably host a succession of teaching and educational conferences such as these highlights our versatility and flexibility as a venue as well as our continuing strength and appeal in one of the major conferencing sectors.”Read
