Big Society

The Big Society is the label given by Prime Minister David Cameron to a new initiative to help get more communities and individuals involved in running their own communities. Liverpool is one of four pilot areas in the UK taking part in the pledge. Prime Minister Cameron launched his pledge at Liverpool Hope University in July 2010 and added that he would use money from dormant bank accounts to launch and fund community projects.
