LIBERAL Democrat candidate Bob Thompson was under no illusions about the size of the task in trying to overturn top Tory Stephen O'Brien. He said victory in Eddisbury would be a "cataclysmic shock" but he was determined to claim second place and strengthen the party's position in the constituency.
