Would you take the kids?
DERBYSHIRE is a great spot for a family holiday.
There are so many things to do in the great outdoors that the kids will (hopefully!) forget all about the Wii.
There are more than 50 reservoirs and rivers so windsurfing, canoeing and sailing is popular with visitors. Hire bikes or take your own and ride along the many miles of traffic-free cycle paths or, for the more adventurous, mountainous trails.
At Conkers Discovery Centre (www.visitconkers.com), in the heart of the National Forest, they can trace animal tracks and take a Tree Top Walk or enjoy the indoor play centre.
There are 23 different outdoor activities available as well as a restaurant, where parents can take a much needed rest.
