The online dangers to our children
THE murder of Ashleigh Hall, left, must surely strike terror into the hearts of all parents whose children have access to a computer.
Almost every week, we seem to be reading stories of children being taken advantage of by individuals they met online who they believed to be their friends.
I don’t know what the answer is to this.
Simply telling our children not to meet people they meet on the internet does not seem to work.
Maybe the time has come for the providers of these social networking sites to ask for some sort of proof of age from the people who use them.
