New Edge Lane looks worse than before
TO SAY that I am underwhelmed with the designs for the new houses which are set to go on Edge Lane is quite the understatement (Daily Post, March 15).
This has to be some of the ugliest looking architecture I have ever seen. It looks more like campus student accommodation.
How anyone can possibly think that this blocky, utilitarian housing is better than the once-beautiful Victorian villas along Edge Lane now is beyond me.
While I realise the houses there are now past their best they could have been rescued. Sadly now they are lost forever and it looks like we will be stuck with this.
